Yes, it’s that time when we strap in and go for a bit of a drive, once again in Capcom’s beautiful 2002 “Gran Turismo lite” affair, Auto Modellista.
Today we take on some tougher challenges, and either start to hit the limits of what my dear little Yaris has to offer… or perhaps my own skill ceiling. Hit the jump to see what happened.

I enjoyed Auto Modellista so much when I tried it for the first time last week that I felt it deserved another look or two. So that’s what we’re up to today!
For the unfamiliar, Auto Modellista is a 2002 release from Capcom that, alongside Monster Hunter and Resident Evil Outbreak, was supposed to be Capcom’s big break into online gaming. That, uh, didn’t quite work out — indeed, the initial Western release of Auto Modellista didn’t have any online modes at all — but it didn’t stop it being a cool, immensely stylish game.

Last week, I actually wanted to cover Capcom’s Auto Modellista, but instead ended up taking a look at Jaleco’s questionable (but actually quite entertaining) World Super Police.
The reason for this was that the copy of Auto Modellista I picked up a while back… uh, it didn’t work. I’d put it in the PS2, the drive would make chirpy zappy noises and then nothing would happen. There didn’t appear to be anything wrong with the disc itself and the PS2 was working fine, it was just a dead copy for whatever reason.
I still wanted to take a look at it because it’s a game I’ve been curious to explore for a long time. So I tracked down another copy and… well, hit the jump for the video to see how I got on.

Although there’s still a bit of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed to go, we technically “beat” the game (or saw the staff roll, at least) last week.
With that in mind, I thought I’d change up the format of Sunday Driving a little for greater variety: instead of focusing on one game exclusively, I’m going to cycle around a few games a bit, try out some new things and also act a bit on viewer feedback if there is any.
With that in mind, today I grab something random (but arcade racery) from my shelves and fire it up for the first time. If you want to see more of this particular game, let me know in the comments here or on YouTube! Hit the jump to see the vid.

We’ve been making good headway through Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed… but today we clear the game!
Or do we…? This is a Sega game in the classic console mould, after all, so it only stands to reason that seeing the end credits isn’t necessarily the end of the experience…
Regardless, today we see the “ending” of the game… and from there we’ll have to decide what to do next!

It’s time for another Sunday Driving session as we continue our playthrough of Sega and Sumo Digital’s wonderful Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
We’re making good progress through the World Tour mode — it should only be another episode or two before we clear all the available events on the normal difficulty we’ve been playing them all on so far.
But what then? Hmm, we’ll have to wait and see, won’t we… Hit the jump for today’s video in the meantime!

Ladies, gentlemen and various woodland creatures… start your engines, ’cause it’s time for another installment of Sunday Driving.
We’ve been playing through Sumo Digital’s excellent Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on PC and having a ton of fun along the way. For the uninitiated, this fantastic kart racer is particularly well known for having a superb single-player mode, so for those who have found Mario Kart a bit lacking in this regard over the years… check it out.

It’s another weekend where I find myself editing an episode of the MoeGamer Podcast, but here’s a bit more Sunday Driving for your enjoyment!
Today we continue our playthrough of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed’s excellent single-player mode, the World Tour.
We’re starting to get into some of the game’s more unusual events now, so hit the jump to see the latest episode.

It’s time for another episode of Sunday Driving and the continuation of Amy’s world tour in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
I noticed the quality on the previous videos was lower than it has been from my previous PC game captures, likely due to the fact that some combination of Windows 10 and/or my switch to SSD has meant that I’ve been having to re-encode captured video to a constant frame rate otherwise I get audio sync issues. This time around I’ve used higher quality settings, so let me know if you notice the difference.

Let’s get ready to, uh, drive!
Yes, it’s that time of the week again when I rev up my engines, grab my controller and jump into some of my favourite arcade racers from over the years. This week we’re once again continuing with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on PC, one of my all-time favourite kart racers, particularly for its single-player mode.
Hit the jump for the new video.
