Around the Network

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope your week has been good and that you’re now enjoying a nice relaxing weekend.

It’s been a busy week as always around here. Chris and I spent this afternoon recording a new podcast that should be caressing your earholes by Monday, all being well, and in the meantime there’s been lots of stuff happening both here on MoeGamer and on the other sites in my “network” of sorts.

Hit the jump for a summary of what’s been going on!

Here’s what you might have missed this week here on MoeGamer:

Sunday Driving: Amy Maxes Out – our weekly delve into arcade and kart racers continues its world tour through Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed.
Senran Kagura Reflexions: Shinobi Intimacy – an in-depth look at the Senran Kagura fandisc, which lets you get all touchy-feely with several of the series’ heroines.
Evenicle: Fightin’ Waifus – this week’s Cover Game feature focuses on Evenicle’s mechanics, and how the game gradually increases in depth as you progress.
Warriors Wednesday: Pursued by Lu Bu – our Warriors Orochi adventure continues as we come face to face with a legendary opponent!
Waifu Wednesday: Bowsette – a look at one of the most surprising and delightful cultural phenomena in recent memory.
Capcom Essentials: Final Fight – a look at one of the classic brawlers from the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle.
Dragalia Lost: First Impressions – impressions after a couple of hours with Nintendo and Cygames’ new mobile title.

Atari A to Z

This week saw the launch of the new Atari ST A to Z series as well as the ongoing 8-bit series! Be sure to check it out. Don’t forget you can follow Atari A to Z on its own dedicated site here, or catch the videos here on MoeGamer too.

Here’s this week’s videos, on Final Legacy for the 8-bit, and Atomino for the ST.

Videopac Games

Not had a lot of time to update over here this week, I’m afraid, but I have picked up original complete-in-box copies of Pickaxe Pete and Crazy Chase, so expect writeups on those sometime soon.

In the meantime, here’s everything that’s been covered on the site so far:

Videopac 1: Race, Spin-Out, Cryptogram
Videopac 2: Pairs, Space Rendezvous, Logic
Videopac 4: Air-Sea War, Battle
Videopac 10: Golf
Videopac 14: Gunfighter
Videopac 24: Flipper Game
Videopac 34: Satellite Attack

Thanks as always for all your support, shares and kind donations! Here’s to another week of fun and games.

  1. I have vaguely fond memories of Pickaxe Pete. I had one friend whose family had bought in to the Odyssey 2 with the justification of “this has a keyboard, it is a computer and not a video game console”, and visiting them was my only exposure to the system.

I look forward to your writeup. 🙂
