The MoeGamer Podcast: Episode 3 – This Is the Game Preservation Society

Whew! This was a pain to get uploaded. Pro-tip: never put Pokemon footage in your YouTube video because it will get the damn thing blocked in all countries.

Anyway. This is the latest episode of The MoeGamer Podcast, featuring the triumphant return of Chris and a return to our usual format.

Hit the jump to see the new episode and find out more!

Today, Chris and I discuss Mega Man 11, the upcoming new Pokemon game (without any footage because of the reasons outlined above), the Yakuza remakes, what Team Sonic Racing might have to offer and more.

We also take a bit of time to gush about the wonder that is Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition and discuss some of the other games we’ve been playing, including visual novel Supipara Chapter 2 (full writeup coming tomorrow), Dark Souls II and more.

Finally, we close things off with a discussion about game preservation and how it’s getting increasingly challenging to preserve authentic experiences in these days of digital content, updates and DLC add-ons.

You can subscribe to my channel on YouTube here, and check out Chris’ awesome art projects here. Commission the man, he’s got a move to Canada to fund!

Music in this episode comes from various sources including Super Mario Odyssey, Valkyriee Drive: Bhikkuni, Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online and doubtless some I’ve forgotten, and remains the property of the respective copyright holders where appropriate. Original music is by watson/MusMus.
