We kick off, as always, with a discussion of the recent gaming news. It’s been a pretty lacklustre period for interesting things to get excited about, but there are a few bits and bobs worth highlighting, including a new classic-style survival horror title from PQube, home arcade units from Sega and SNK, and confirmation that a new Neptunia game is on the way.
For our second segment, we chat about what we’ve been playing recently, with a particular focus on “recent retro” — we’ve both been picking up seventh-generation games for 360 and PS3 recently and discovering some real hidden treasures that didn’t get anywhere near the attention they deserved back in the day. Time to correct that!
And finally, we take our time going through the Evercade’s launch lineup of ten cartridges and around 120 games, picking out some favourites from the mix. If you’re up for some retro funtimes and you haven’t picked up an Evercade yet, first of all, check out this episode — and second of all, pick up an Evercade!
