Some Gaming YouTubers Worth Your Time

Hello, dear reader, and thank you, as ever, for continuing to support MoeGamer and my other projects with your generous, kind eyes — which, by the way, are looking beautiful this evening.

I’ll level with you, I have a busy evening ahead of me and nothing in particular planned to write about after a stressful couple of weeks in which I haven’t had nearly enough time to do everything I want… so in the interests of providing you with some sort of Content™ that you might find vaguely interesting, I thought I’d collect together some YouTubers I’ve been very much enjoying of late. Besides myself, I mean. Obviously my own channel is very good indeed and you should definitely go and subscribe. But what about other people, for when you get tired of my delightfully rich and fruity voice?

Join me beneath the fold and we’ll explore a bit… with a particular emphasis on slightly smaller, retro gaming-centric YouTubers that you may not have heard of, particularly if you’re in the States.

Around the Network

Happy weekend, folks, hope you’re all well. I’m having a bit of a trying time at present to be perfectly honest, but I won’t bore you with that here; remember you can sign up for my daily #oneaday blog on Patreon if you’d like a bit more of “the personal touch”!

Anyway, it’s been a busy week. My own personal issues aside, I’m more than happy with how things are going around these parts. I’ve got some fun videos going out nearly every day of the week now, we’ve got another great episode of The MoeGamer Podcast for you to enjoy, I’m really enjoying the current Cover Game feature and I’m feeling quite inspired for what I might be able to provide some deep-dives into over the course of the next few months.

For now, though, hit the jump to see what you might have missed this week.

Digitiser: The Show – The “Gaming Show Broadcasters Are Too Scared to Make”

Before the mess that is today’s Internet, gaming fans were a bit more limited in where they could get their information from.

There were a variety of gaming magazines that came and went over the course of the ’80s, ’90s and early ’00s… but one of the most enduring and memorable publications in British gaming wasn’t even printed on paper.

I’m talking about Digitiser, which ran from 1993 to 2003… and now it’s back as a joyfully chaotic show on YouTube.

Sunday Driving: Pudding?! You Were Always So Quirky, Brian – Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed #6

It’s time for another Sunday Driving session as we continue our playthrough of Sega and Sumo Digital’s wonderful Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

We’re making good progress through the World Tour mode — it should only be another episode or two before we clear all the available events on the normal difficulty we’ve been playing them all on so far.

But what then? Hmm, we’ll have to wait and see, won’t we… Hit the jump for today’s video in the meantime!

Warriors Wednesday: TFW No Big Tiddy Strategist GF – Warriors Orochi #3

The battles against Orochi’s forces continue as Nobunaga and friends come face to face with a powerful foe.

It’s Da Ji, Orochi’s strategist and a master of disguise. Deceiving the Coalition forces by taking on the appearance of the apparently slain Cao Cao, Da Ji seeks to take control of the battlefield on her own terms.

Nobunaga is not so easily swayed by the formidable charms of a big tiddy strategist gf, however, although he does take a bit of a kicking a couple of times before figuring out the best way to deal with the situation. Hit the jump to see how that all went.

Atari A to Z: Aztec Challenge

Despite technically being “on holiday” I’ve managed to fill today up completely to such a degree that I haven’t had time to finish a full article for MoeGamer as yet, and I’m about to go out for the evening. Consequently, you can expect an article later (late!) tonight when I get back.

In the meantime, please enjoy the beginning of this new side project exploring the library of the Atari 8-bit line of computers from A to Z and back again. New episodes are coming every Tuesday, so watch out for them either here or over on YouTube.

This isn’t technically part of MoeGamer’s remit, such as it is, but it is nonetheless a retro gaming project I have been working on, so I thought I’d share it here in case anyone is interested!

MoeGamerTV: MoeGamer on YouTube!

If you have a moment to support the channel, please drop by, watch a few videos and leave some likes and comments. And if you’d like to stay up to date with my work on YouTube, don’t forget to subscribe to the channel.

Hit the jump for some recent videos.

Pete Plays Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God

Hi folks, just a quickie to announce that from this point onwards, you can expect (hopefully) regular Let’s Play videos on Saturdays and Sundays.

This is in addition to MoeGamer’s midweek content, which I’m aiming to support with video versions of articles as you may have seen me experimenting with throughout the latter half of this week.

Head on over to my YouTube page to subscribe now, and hit the jump to check out the first two episodes of Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry Goda game I’ve been meaning to check out for ages — and which has recently had an excellent PC port!

The MoeGamer Podcast: Pilot Episode – Sega, Sega, Sega

I’ve been talking about doing some sort of podcast with my good friend and longtime supporter Chris Caskie for some time… and last weekend we finally got around to it!

After the jump (and on YouTube), you’ll find the pilot episode of a new MoeGamer podcast that will hopefully become a semi-regular thing! How regular it is will depend on the schedules Chris and I keep and whether I can get things edited reasonably quickly, but we’re looking at bi-weekly or monthly rather than weekly right now.

We hope you enjoy the show — we had a blast recording it, I had great fun editing it (even if it took all evening) and we’re already looking forward to recording more!
